Composition Number 12 is a painting by the Dutch artist Piet Mondrian. He first started work on the painting it in 1936, while living in Paris. It was carried to Mondrian when he emigrated to New York, where he completed the painting in 1942 - one of Mondrian's so called 'transatlantic paintings'. [1]

It hangs in Ottawa, in the National Gallery of Canada.[2]
