Now Viewing: clone_(biology)
Tag type: General
For posts containing two or more instances of the same character in the same scene *without* implicit or explicit explanation that this scenario is the result of cloning, see clone. For other uses of the term, see clone_(disambiguation)
A clone is an individual organism that exists—created by natural or artificial means—with genomes identical to another individual organism. Identical twins and beings born out of asexual reproduction are examples of clones in nature. However, in the field of biotechnology, cloning refers to the process of creating cloned organisms from cells and DNA sources of existing beings. It is this form of cloning that is often the subject of science_fiction works which portray the process as being much more developed than in real_life.
Do not use this tag for posts which portray multiple identical instances of the same character *without* themes of science fiction or othwerwise any explanation as to how this scenario is possible. The clone tag has been reserved for such posts.
