My original idea was that she could use the car gate because it was left (conveniently) open.
This teaser opens (sorry) different scenarii.
1. The burglar option. Leah left too and forgot to close it: it's strange and even too convenient for the story. Plus she still needs to enter the house, the door on the back giving on the garden could be unlocked (again, very convenient) or she might find the keys the usual "American" way: under the rug or hidden under one of those rocks by the window
2. The Leah option. Most probably at this point, Leah is still at home and the gate has been left open by another visitor. And obviously it can only be the boyfriend. She spent no time to call up they boy she wanted to "study" with, going against the deal made with Ava.
Sophia is likely to surprise them, maybe while they are kissing. Like that the fact she's back because she forgot something will be a minor details. She will keep her mouth shut with Ava and Leah will own her another (big) one.. This could be used to create a stronger bond with Sophia
3. The Ava option. It could be Ava that came back leaving the apostles alone at the dentist because e.g. she needed to finish with her work and didn't want to wait long at the dentist. If so, she could be again very into her work that she won't question much Sophia forgetting something in the room, she will let her get what she need alone, Sophia can stuff everything in her purse like she did in the other less lewd paths and go home safely. After all, it was already established that Ava didn't notice Sophia's stiletto because of the stress.

(BTW, just the usual nitpicking note, Ava usually asks to remove the shoes at the door, last time she let her keep the shoes because the maid was coming later on

So again, this could be used to justify Ava not being around when she gets the lingerie back and not inspecting the purse on the way out. This is also supported by the less formal relationship (e.g. they dropped the "Mrs") they are now having with Ava trusting Sophia more.
Finally, there is that "niche" thing the apostles have behind their desk, that felt like a Chekhov's Gun to me. I don't know if it will have any use in the future other than the rope and the hook. One possibility that I was considering before this new teaser is that either Sophia or the apostles might use it to hide the lingerie. Sophia to avoid the inspection on the way out (but Ava didn't do it in the paths in which she stuffed the lingerie in her purse). If the apostles are back with Ava, for example, they might have noticed the lingerie and hidden it to avoid getting in trouble (and also as trophy). Probably the solution is simpler than this. But the question remains. Will this niche play a role in future events?

Would someone please explain what a cliffhanger is in the modern context to L&P?
To have a "cliffhanger" in a story several elements are suggested. First the conclusion of it has to have an impact on the story plot. Second, it has an important consequence. Third should be a surprise.
Now if this event is geared toward an ending (like 7 years down the road at this rate), then there is a cliffhanger that fulfills all the conditions. Does anyone want to wait 7 years to find out--hell will anyone remember it that far down the road?
Something disturbing is the rumor, L&P is bringing back Liam's suggestion of a wife swap as part of some wedding. I barely remember that, and I can't tell you if that was in part one or two.
Oh well now the fossils update is in the works ... sigh
Hey guys. There's a couple of things i want to clarify. I want to play the aiden blackmail story for Emmas route. According to the walkthrough you can solve the blackmail later on with Don Merlo and still continue the Emma route. Is that accurate? And does the blackmail have any lasting consequences.

I highly doubt this but maybe Sophia catches Leah having sex with a woman.I agree with you that Sophia will be persuade by Leah,maybe Leah finds the bag,so Sophia has little choice but to help her,this is my pick.
Or Sophia get busted by the cops of Myers
The more, I think about this, the more I think Sophia spying on Leah with a woman after she retrieves her bag would be utterly perfect.
As I said, highly doubt it as L&P seems shy about adding any real plot since the whole reversal of Dylan setting Sophia up with Aiden.

LP just needs to whip up 4 or 5 scenes, throw in some camera angle tweaks, zoom in, zoom out a bit, and voilà—20 renders for this update! It’s probably just a quick chat with Leah, so yeah like LP said, keep those expectations low
